Welcome to the Warrior family

We're excited to welcome you and your student to the University of Waterloo!

As a new member of the Warrior family, you may find yourself becoming an unofficial ambassador for the University of Waterloo.

This role will come with new experiences for both you and your student. Even if you attended Waterloo, your student's experience may look and feel different from what you expected.

Campus is continually growing and evolving, offering new experiences and expectations for current students.

That’s where we come in. Warrior family events and resources are here to help you help your student.

Stay in the know on important tasks like move-in and paying tuition.

Explore resources to help your student throughout their university journey.

Connect with university staff at in-person and online events just for you.

Student privacy at Waterloo

A key change in the transition from high school to university is student independence and responsibility.

Your student will be responsible for managing many day-to-day tasks, as well as important administrative tasks with the University.

Parents and guardians are not granted automatic access to student information. This includes finances, grades, health and student discipline. Learn more about student privacy and independence.
