Moisture Sensor

Clean energy is an important topic that is becoming increasingly popular in the technology industry. At the WSDL, we are developing novel sensors that generate power when moisture is detected. This eliminates the need for batteries in a wide range of applications where batteries could be hazardous or expensive. The following figures demonstrate sensor performance from various reliability tests using water.

Moisture sensor 1

Sensor voltage for varied sensor thickness (left) and power output versus diameter of sensor material (right).

Moisture sensor 2

Sensor I-V performance for varied sensor temperature (left) and varied water temperature (right).

Moisture sensor 3

Sensor I-V performance for varied volume of water applied (left) and in series connection (right).
