whitney, zynga presenter
Whitney Mak,

Software Engineer

Whitney Mak specializes in front-end programming for mobile games. She started coding her first website when she was 12 years old, and continued her interests in technology by graduating from the University of Waterloo’s Computer Engineering program. In addition to enjoying video games, dancing, and blogging about food, Whitney is also a big advocate for encouraging more young girls to pursue STEM.

Want to learn more about Zynga and how to break into the engineering industry after graduation with specific tools?

This awesome workshop will cover the career paths and tips on moving into the engineering industry straight out of Waterloo (one of the presenters was a UW computer engineering grad). We'll cover popular, specific coding tools in web and mobile and discuss challenges in software development. For example, the presenters will cover high level concepts around what Agile is and why it’s helpful.

Zynga presenters will also focus on the general Project Manager career path – what do we do, how do we do it, how do I get into this.
