ATS Tour

Join the WiE Society at ATS on Wednesday February 8th from 5:15 to 8:00pm. Located in Cambridge, ON, ATS Automation offers the perfect synergy of experience, automation technology, and scale to advance factory automation solutions for the world’s leading manufacturers. Take advantage of this unique and specialized off-campus tour of ATS’ Innovation Centre with representatives from their engineering teams. Registration for the event also includes dinner and bus transportation to and from the University, which is entirely free of charge for participants. 

*We ask that you please arrive to LOCATION by 5:15pm to ensure the bus can leave on time

International Women’s Day: DigitALL Panel

On March 8th, International Women’s Day, The Undergraduate and Graduate Women in Engineering Committee will be hosting a panel discussion on breaking the bias in engineering! Hear from a powerful group of female and non-binary industry leaders about their experiences, journey and advice for women in engineering! Registration is required to attend the event.

Car Care Workshop with AutoCate! Register Now

The WiE Committee is hosting a Car Care Workshop with AutoCate, a company dedicated to educating and empowering car owners. Alongside AutoCate, participants will learn how to jump start a battery, check their oil, and learn the basic terminology of car functions. The in-person workshop is an opportunity to get some hands-on skills and leave the workshop with auto-confidence!

WiE Design Days

Do you think you can build a strong bridge using only popsicle sticks and glue? Come join WIE on Monday, March 20th to put your design to the test and create a bridge of everyday materials that withstands heavy weight in teams of 3-4. May the strongest and best engineered  bridge win! Amazing prizes to be won. This is a drop-in event.

Join the Women in Engineering Undergraduate and Graduate Committees as we kick off the Spring 2023 term with games, food, and networking with fellow UW students! The Women in Engineering Committee, in collaboration with the National Society of Black Engineers, will be sitting down for a fireside chat with Ajoa Mintah, UWaterloo Chemical Engineering Graduate and owner/founder of Four All Ice Cream. We will be speaking with Ajoa about her journey as a black, female entrepreneur. Participants will have the opportunity to ask Ajoa about her experience and journey from engineering student to business owner.
