What is the WiE Living Learning Community?
The Women in Engineering Living Learning Community (WiE LLC) is a group of women-identifying and non-binary students in the faculty of engineering who live in the same area of residence at United College. In a Living Learning Community (LLC), students will live in clusters with other members of their LLC to further create a sense of community. Within every LLC, there will be multiple Peer leaders to help our LLC students along their academic journey and transition to university life.
What is a Peer Leader?
Peer Leaders are upper-year student mentors assigned to clusters in our WiE LLC to help our students navigate their way throughout their first year. Our Peer leaders are there to support our students through the challenges they might face in their academic careers. Throughout the year, our Peer Leaders will host a variety of events to help build community and provide our students with the skills to succeed in university.
