This is a conference designed for young women in grades 10/11 to explore engineering and gain a better understanding of the course pathway that is needed in high school.

Engineering is an exciting field and too many women don’t realize they want to pursue this career path until after grade 12. Don’t wait this long to discover what engineering is all about, what courses you need to take, the different types of engineers there are, meet current female engineers from industry, and try out hands-on activities related to coding, tech, math, and physics.

What:Networking event for WiE Community + free screening of Wonder Woman and Hors D'oeuvres

Who: Anyone and everyone!

Note: If you can, please bring a small donation for the YWCA of KW - the money collected at this event will go toward local shelters and Girls Programs.

Women in Engineering would like to invite you to an exclusive event on on Saturday, March 10, 2018.

Hear from faculty and staff at Waterloo Engineering, meet current students, and learn about the support that University of Waterloo provides its female students. You will also meet some of your future female classmates while working together on a mini engineering project.

We anticipate that spaces will fill quickly, so register today to save spaces for you and your family.

The conference is an exciting opportunity for grade 11 girls to participate in hands-on workshops, explore the University of Waterloo, meet engineering students, compete in a design competition, and experience life in residence! 

This year's conference will be held April 27^th to April 29^th. Spots are limited to 50 female students. There are still a few spots available so apply as soon as possible! 

Engineering Explorations is an opportunity to come and discover Waterloo Engineering and get hands on with family focused engineering activities.
