DRP Mentor Application

Prospective DRP-Research graduate student/postdoc (mentors) applicants:

The program is open to current graduate students, postdocs, and faculty of all genders in Math. Each team should have 1-2 mentors, who suggest an original research project suitable for undergraduates. At their discretion, the mentor(s) may also ask faculty to join their project, but the mentor(s) are in charge of the project. The mentor(s) decide on the number of mentees they wish to supervise, and meetings between mentors and mentees happen weekly.

Graduate students who lead their research projects to completion will be awarded the Women in Mathematics Directed Research Program Mentorship (WiM DRP-Research) award, valued at $1000. (For administrative reasons, postdocs and faculty are not eligible for this award.)

Prospective DRP-Reading graduate student/postdoc (mentors) applicants:

The program is open to current graduate students, postdocs, and faculty of all genders in Math. Graduate students and postdocs will gain experience in project mentorship and communicating mathematics. In addition, this is a great way to not only explore new mathematics but also befriend new mathematicians in the faculty!

Graduate students who lead their reading projects to completion will be awarded the Women in Mathematics Directed Reading Program Mentorship (WiM DRP-Reading) award, valued at $1000. (For administrative reasons, postdocs and faculty are not eligible for this award.)
