Writing a Graduate Research Scholarship Proposal
(Newly revised workshop, Fall 2026)
This self-directed workshop explores how to write an effective research proposal for a Tri-Agency (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) master's or doctoral scholarship application (CGRS M or CGRS D). You will learn strategies for planning, drafting, and revising your proposal, which are essential for communicating your research clearly and persuasively in scholarship applications. While the workshop focuses on Tri-Agency awards, many of the strategies are transferable to other graduate funding competitions.
By the end of this 90 min workshop, you'll be able to:

Apply strategies used in successful CGRS proposals to your own proposal
