Who can I talk to about GenAI?

It’s a confusing time to be a student.

At the WCC, we’re here to support you in navigating how and when (or not) to use GenAI in your writing and speaking assignments. 

We offer a student-led, non-judgmental, and friendly space to talk about writing and GenAI. Here's what you can expect from us:

• We can help you interpret instructions and make sense of assignments that ask for GenAI use. 
• Feedback on your work will always come from people, from our knowledgeable and highly-trained advisors and peer tutors.  
• We won’t input your work into a GenAI tool unless you want us to. 
• We can help with GenAI citation and disclosing GenAI use. 
• We can suggest non-GenAI strategies and workarounds if you don’t want to use GenAI. 
• We can also share ways to use GenAI to help and not harm your learning process (such as backwards planning for a writing project).
