We’re aiming to make Waterloo Engineering a truly world-class school of engineering – the destination of choice for outstanding students, employers, employees and partners around the globe.

Our Vision 2010 plan made a remarkable impact: research funding up 82 per cent, 24 per cent more top-tier faculty, hundreds more promising graduate students, and three new state-of-the-art buildings. Now it’s time to imagine more.
Introducing Vision 2015: Building on Excellence. With this new plan, we’re setting the stage for even greater success.
How? By attracting exceptional people at every level. By committing to quality in our programs and services. By graduating engineers and architects equipped to make their mark on the global stage. By creating the environment for world-class research, and then rolling up our sleeves and doing that work.
It’s not about ranking in the top 100, the top 50 or the top 10. That’s just a byproduct. It’s about maintaining our trajectory of excellence and finding
ways to constantly innovate and improve. It’s about taking something great, and making it even better.
Ambitious? Yes. Achievable? No question.
