Class Representatives

Each class elects a class professor and two student representatives to serve on the Student-Faculty Committee. This committee meets over lunch every second Thursday starting in Week 2 and serves as a liaison between the class and the department. Please choose your class professor and class representatives DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF TERM and give their names to Liz.

SFF (Sandford Fleming Foundation) Competitions

You can practise your oral communication skills, add some lines to your resume, and perhaps even win some money by participating in the Sandford Fleming Technical Speaking Competition and/or Debates. Details will be announced early in the term.

Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

The PEO Student Membership Program (SMP) offers you a free opportunity to keep informed about PEO issues and links you to PEO's licencing process. You may join by visiting the PEO web site www.peo.on.ca, click on the "SMP/Student Membership Program" graphic button, then click on the button.

Note: All coop work terms following the 2B academic term may be used to count towards up to 12 months of PEO's 4 year working experience requirement for your P.Eng. Licence. Refer to PEO's web site www.peo.on.ca, for forms and instructions on recording this pre-graduation experience. It is your responsibility to record this experience. This is best done upon completing each work term. If you have any questions, the Faculty of Engineering PEO liaison is Professor Roydon Fraser, rafraser@uwaterloo.ca.
