Every April, we celebrate National Volunteer Week — a wonderful opportunity to recognize the outstanding volunteer contributions that make our work possible in Advancement.
The University of Waterloo depends on volunteers to offer events, programs, outreach, mentorship and much more. Volunteers in our Alumni Chapters and Global Ambassadors build the University’s reputation by creating strong connections with alumni, students and influential leaders worldwide. Volunteer speakers and mentors offer vital support to students exploring career options and navigating complex job markets. Class champions volunteer to keep classmates and friends in touch with each other and the University, years after they graduated. Even our leadership team relies on volunteers to bring critical perspectives that guide our path forward as an institution.
From April 17-21, teams across Advancement will recognize our volunteers with social media posts, emails, and/or personal notes of gratitude. Thank you, volunteers, for your gifts of time and expertise — and Happy National Volunteer Week!
