A big part of what I do as a Faculty member at the University of Waterloo is get students excited about learning new things. Having been trained as a chemical engineer, my view of things really does come from a chemical engineering point of view. Even though I've gained a certain level of expertise in virology and molecular biology, I look at these fields with an engineering lens. With this in mind, I have taught a variety of courses at the University of Waterloo, I have participated as an advisor for a student team and I have had a few videos made along the way of what I believe we do in our group. Some are older, which serve as a record of where we started, and some are more recent. Feel free to browse.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
