Speaker Bio:
A renowned international expert in human-centred robotics will join Waterloo Engineering in March of 2020 to lead a major research program.
Katja Mombaur, an engineer and mathematician now based at Heidelberg University in Germany, is the third Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) appointed to the University of Waterloo under a federal program that is one of the most prestigious and generous in the world.
The chair provides $10 million in federal government funding over seven years to go with more than $15 in support from the University.
