Chrysopsis scabrella Torr. & A. Gray is native to pennisula Florida. It has densely glandular leaves (stiplitate glands small) and phyllaries and fruits that lack translucent reddish brown ridges. The species is diploid with 2n=10. See Semple (2006 FNA).
