Sarah Hallman Presenting OBC 2026
MSc student Sarah Hallman presents her findings on “Gap-Filling Marker Trajectories During Squatting” and tackles new promising gap-filling strategies with reduced limitations, such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Kalman Smoothing, and compares them to the commonly used cubic spline interpolation.
Due to Spline and Kalman Smoothing exceeding PCA in error, this data aims to suggest a shift towards PCA usage for more accessible and accurate motion capture gap-filling.
