David was representing the BOHM lab with his project investigating if muscle activation patterns were different between symmetrically performed kneeling and squatting. When ascending from fully flexed positions, one quadricep and hamstring muscle activated differently between the movements. No differences between movements were found during descent movements. These findings suggest we may be able to model muscle behaviour of either activity based on knee flexion angle when descending, but would have different models during ascent for each movement.
Stay tuned for the publication of these findings!
