The purpose of the Lifestyle, Exercise and Diet (LEAD 2.0) Trial is to investigate the feasibility of a 6-month virtual exercise and lifestyle program that can be done entirely from the comfort of your own home. If you decide to participate you will be asked to join 3 sessions per week (totalling 4 hours), which consists of two scheduled virtual group sessions and one independent session. All virtual sessions will occur over Zoom in groups of 6-8 participant, and will involve exercise and healthy lifestyle education. Research assessments will also take place at baseline and 6-months, with a follow-up at 12 months.  

 

You may be eligible to participate if you: 

  • Are 65-85 years old 
  • Live in Ontario, Manitoba, Quebec or Saskatchewan 
  • Have concerns about your memory or thinking abilities 
  • Have access to internet at home 

 

This study has been reviewed and received ethics clearance through the University of Waterloo Ethics Board and the Baycrest Ethics Board.
