Bovas Abraham was the former director of the Institute for Improvement in Quality and Productivity.

Martin Lysy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, and he is the Director of the department's Statistical Consulting and Collaborative Research Unit. His research interests include continuous stochastic processes, graphical and hierarchical modeling, and mediation analysis. 

Jeroen De Mast’s core areas of expertise are in operations management and strategy, industrial statistics, quality and reliability engineering, product development, and project and program management. 

Jerry Lawless is a distinguished professor emeritus of Statistics and held the General Motors Canada - Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Chair in Quality and Productivity from 1994 to 2004.

Jock MacKay is the past director (1989-1992, 1996-1997) of the Institute for Improvement in Quality and Productivity at the University of Waterloo and has been an active member of the research group since its inception in 1985.

Matthias Schonlau is a professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science. He is co-director of the University of Waterloo Survey Research Centre.
