This year's Conscience Canada Annual General Meeting takes place at Conrad Grebel University College, sponsored by Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement. The first session starts at 2.00 for the presentation of the organisation's 2017 financial statements, the election of new board members and other business agendas.
The second session after break begins at 3.30 pm with Tamara Lorincz speaking on “The Climate Costs of Canada’s New Defence Policy”. Tamara is a peace researcher and activist extraordinaire, currently doing a PhD in Global Governance.
Conscience Canada operates the Peace Tax Trust Fund, a way for conscientious objectors in Canada to deposit the military part of their federal taxes.
