Kindred Credit Union Recognized for its Positive Impacts
Kindred Credit Union has been accepted into membership in the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) for their commitment to affecting positive change. Through its membership, Kindred will be connected to organizations from around the world who are similarly committed to conducting business – and banking – in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. There are over 43 financial institutions that are a part of the GAVB who together serve 41 million customers.
When looking for a location that would inspire innovation and encourage high school students to see themselves as future leaders, the Canadian Student Leadership Conference saw Waterloo as an ideal choice. One thousand high school students throughout Canada descended on the Waterloo Region in late September to grow in their understanding of innovation.
Tomorrow, September 21, marks the International Day of Peace and World Alzheimer’s Day. Although not typically connected, both peace and Alzheimer’s disease deeply touch the lives of many Canadians. In fact, many of us are grappling with the complexities of both!
