Adam Lurie, a junior enrolled in chemistry at Scarsdale High School, Scarsdale NY, is a true photography enthusiast. The theme of his photo submission was water and movement. Adam has won a copy of The Elements, written and donated by Theodore Gray (available at periodictable.com).
The photo was a result of an interdisciplinary venture between art and chemistry teachers at Adam’s school. Elise Levine (chemistry) and Dina Hofstetter (art) sent Adam’s photo along with student Valerie Keating’s photo on the back cover. For all Chem 13 News readers, be inspired by this type of endeavour.
