Kasra, a Ph.D. candidate in System Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, is deeply engaged in exploring socio-environmental systems with an emphasis on climate change mitigation and adaptation. His research is centered around developing innovative decision-making tools to address the complex challenges of climate change, leveraging his passion for systemic solutions. With a master’s degree in water resources management, Kasra has a strong focus on analyzing and mapping climate-related hazards, like droughts and floods. His work aims to integrate this expertise with his current studies to devise resilient strategies for sustainable environmental management.
