Artificial Intelligence Exhibit - AI Encounters: Past, Present, and Future

On September 28, 2024, the Computer Museum will be attending the AI Encounters: Past, Present, and Future event at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum.

Looking back at the evolution of AI shows how improvements in the field have continued to change our benchmark for what true artificial intelligence looks like. Our display will showcase examples of AI from the late 20th century, running on retro computers that visitors can interact with. This includes an early chatbot, speech synthesizer, neural network, and chess AI.

The event is free to attend and will run from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
