Favourite place to study: I prefer studying at home because I like constant access to food and privacy but if I am on campus I don't mind studying in MC because it is open 24 hours. I've stayed there overnight a number of times.
Favourite place to eat in Waterloo: I absolutely love Shawerma Plus!
Memorable co-op experience: My first co-op work term was at Sun Life Financial. I worked as a Web Application Developer, maintaining one of the intranet sites as well as developing the Innovation Program. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere because all of the full-timers were open to helping the less experienced. I was surprised by how laidback sometimes the work could be, especially in such a corporate firm.
Plans for life after CFM: Assuming I graduate, my plans for life after CFM include pursuing a Master's degree, marks allowing. I don't have an end goal as I feel that learning should be ongoing but I am attracted to working in the financial technology sector and working my way up the corporate ladder.
Fun fact: I'm lactose-intolerant but that does not stop me from indulging in cold dairy treats such as frozen yogurt and cheesecake.
