The University of Waterloo community gathers in June and October each year to celebrate the awarding of degrees at convocation. Faculty, staff, students, and their families gather for this very special event. Honorary degrees are also presented at these ceremonies.
Where: Main gymnasium of the Physical Activities Complex (PAC) at the University of Waterloo
When:Ceremony begins at 10:00am. Each convocation ceremony usually lasts approximately 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Please note that small children may find it difficult to sit through the whole ceremony.
Parking
On campus parking is free in selected lots (look for signs). You can also visit the Parking website for more information. Free parking on the days when convocation ceremonies are held will be posted one to two weeks prior to the start of the spring and fall convocation ceremonies.
