In first year, I wish I knew there are so many resources available on campus to help you succeed and don't be afraid to ask for help as a first-year student. For example, it is always not easy to find the first coop job, but there are actually lots of resources to help you, such as CECA, CFM mentors, and alumni networks etc. Things will get a lot easier if you know how to use those resources properly.

Favourite place to study: The reading room with lots of couches on the third floor of the Dana Porter library.

was
working
at
OMERS
Capital
Markets
as
a
quantitative
analyst.
I
had
the
opportunity
to
work
a
very
exciting
project
-
backtest
option
trading
strategies
to
hedge
a
large
portfolio.
I
got
to
learn
about
different
option
trading
strategies
and
see
the
performance
of
each
strategy
based
on
historical
data.
Working
there,
I
also
got
to
hear
from
world-class
investment
banks
and
consulting
firms
on
their
views
on
macroeconomics,
which
is
always
a
great
learning
experience.
Plans for life after CFM: My plan is to work for a few years after graduation in capital markets, consulting or fin-tech. I would still want to go to graduate school, but maybe not right after CFM.
