Human Resources is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned websites: the Human Resources website, and the new Careers website.
The new Careers site’s streamlined layout makes it easier to find career opportunities. Secondments are now listed on the Internal opportunities page to improve the employee experience. The External opportunities page has been enhanced with a collapsible table showing candidates more relevant information. Coming in 2016 is the launch of a new recruitment system. Stay tuned for more information.

"As you prepare to celebrate the holidays with family and friends, watch and share this short video message — I hope your holiday season is merry and bright!" writes President Feridun Hamdullahpur. "On behalf of my office and the whole leadership team, travel safe, enjoy the season, and we will see you in 2016."
Registration is open for the annual Hagey Bonspiel, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Ayr Curling Club.
The popular event was started in honour of the Waterloo's first president Gerry Hagey.
The mission of the bonspiel is to foster connection within the University community. It is a social event that gives individuals across campus an opportunity learn a new activity and to play together as a team, and it offers a chance to socialize with other individuals from various departments.
Participants can register online and payments can be forwarded to Sheila Hurley in the Safety Office, located in the Commissary building.
While we're on the subject of games, it's game on at the Library during the exam period. Recognizing that exam time can be a stressful time for students, the Library Outreach group has arranged to have board games available for loan to Library patrons, allowing students to take mini-breaks away from books and computers while encouraging social interactions with one another.
Games are available for 3-hour loan from the circulation desks in both the Dana Porter and Davis Centre libraries. Games on tap include Apples to Apples, Battleship, Scrabble, Uno, Monopoly, Clue, and low vision playing cards, to name but a few. Check the Library's website for more details.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
