Save the date: Giving Tuesday is November 27

Giving Tuesday banner.

A message from the Office of Advancement.

Giving Tuesday is just one week away, and we've rallied our group of Waterloo champions to match your gifts! Last year, generous donors like you joined with Waterloo champions to raise more than $140,000 for our campus community. Let's knock it out of the park again this year!

On November 27, join the global movement that invites us to give back to our communities. Make a gift to Waterloo during one of our matching hours and double your impact on an area of the University that matters to you. Each of our champions will match your gifts (up to a personal maximum) during their hour, so mark your calendar today and get ready to double your gift! A total of $18,000 is available over the 4 hours – hours will be announced on Monday November 26!

Your generosity will help our students learn from the best, discover new ideas, and grow into global citizens. Please give on Giving Tuesday and contribute to their success.

Don't want to wait? You can give anytime through our website.

Please note: Matching gifts are only available during the champion's outlined hour and until their personal matching cap is reached. Only one-time, online gifts are eligible for matching.

Employees asked to verify information for 2018 tax forms

T4/T4A tax forms for 2018 will be available by February 28, 2019 as required by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). For the first time, these forms will be available online through Workday, the new HR system.

As the switch to Workday takes place beginning in 2019, T4/T4A forms and pay statements will no longer be available through myHRinfo. Up to six years of historical T4/T4A and six months of pay statement data will be available in the new HR system, Workday.

Human Resources (HR) is asking employees to:

  1. Please review the address and Social Insurance Number (SIN) that Human Resources has on file for you, and update, if necessary, by November 30, 2018. To do this, log into myHRinfo using your Learn/Quest/WatIAM username and password. Changes to personal information during the month of December will need to be captured on the Personal Information Form and sent to Human Resources. Changes after December can be updated through Workday.
  2. Please print off any prior year T4/T4A slips, Faculty or Staff Association fees letters, or past pay statements from myHRinfo that you would like to retain for your records prior to December 31, 2018.

Access instructions on printing out T4/T4A forms, Faculty/Staff Association fees letters, and pay statements.

A communication will be sent out on how to access your 2018 and historical forms and statements as soon as they become available in Workday.

Questions regarding updating address and SIN information can be directed to payroll@uwaterloo.ca or the HR help desk at 519-888-4567 extension 35935. Questions about Workday can be sent to workday@uwaterloo.ca.
