Viewing/printing your pay statement

You can view your current and past pay statements in myHRinfo by following the steps below:

  1. Log into myHRinfo using your University of Waterloo Identity and Access Management (WatIAM) user ID and password.
  2. Click on Main Menu > Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > View Paycheck.
  3. To view a pay statement, click View Paycheque beside the appropriate date. 
    • If the PDF File box is checked on make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled for this website and that you have a PDF reader on your computer.

Year-end slips (T4/T4A)

Canada’s tax year runs January 1 to December 31. Year-end slips (T4/T4A forms) are distributed no later than February 28 each year for the prior tax year. In order to view your year-end slip(s) on-line through myHRinfo you must first give consent. Employees who have not given consent will have their slip(s) mailed to the address on file with Human Resources.

Checking/giving consent to access T4/T4A slips on-line

  • Log onto myHRinfo using your WatIAM user ID and password.
  • Navigate to: Main Menu > Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > Year End Slips Consent.
  • If Your Current Status shows Consent Received, then you can view your year-end slips on-line, see Viewing/printing T4/T4A slips for instructions.

  • If Your Current Status shows No consent received or Consent reset by employer, click on the box indicating you give consent and hit Submit.
  • When prompted, enter your password and hit Continue.
  • A message will come up stating that the submit was successful, click OK.
  • You can now access your year-end slip(s) on-line, see Viewing/printing T4/T4A slip(s) for instructions.
  • Please note: Individuals whose status in myHRinfo is inactive or new employees who have not yet received their first pay, will not be able to elect to receive their slip(s) electronically. You will see a message that reads “Your employer has not enabled electronic year end forms". New employees can log on and update their status once they have received their first pay. Inactive employees will have their year-end slip(s) mailed.

Viewing/printing T4/T4A slip(s)

  • In order to access your slips you must:
    • have a PDF reader on your computer (e.g., Adobe reader), and
    • set the security settings in your web browser to allow/trust all pop ups from this site (turn off your pop-up blocker).
  • Log onto myHRinfo using your WatIAM user ID and password.
  • Navigate to: Main Menu>Self Service>Payroll and Compensation>View T4/T4A Slips.
  • Click on the Year End Slip link next to the slip you want to print. To print the back of the form, which gives a description of each box number, click on Filing Instructions.
  • The form will open in PDF format.
  • If you wish to view a prior year T4/T4A slip, click on View a Different Tax Year, then click on the year you wish to view.

Faculty and staff – Viewing/printing Faculty/Staff Association fees letter

For those faculty and staff members who pay association fees and have given consent to view forms electronically, letters can be accessed as follows:

  • Log onto myHRinfo using your WatIAM user ID and password.
  • Navigate to: Main Menu>Self Service>Payroll and Compensation> Faculty/Staff Association Slip.
  • Click on the View/Print link next to the appropriate year.
  • For those individuals who have not given consent to view forms electronically at the time the letters are produced, a paper copy of your letter will be mailed to the address on file with Human Resources.  Providing consent will not allow you to view letters for prior years, but will allow you access for future years.
