KW Gem and Mineral Society's 50th Anniversary kickoff event

A Grand kickoff event commemorating the KW Gem and Mineral Club's 50th Anniversary.

The free event for the public includes displays in Kitchener City Hall Rotunda, a raffle for a very nice mineral specimen, giveaways for kids, and educational activities lead by Corina McDonald of the Earth Sciences Museum.

Rock Around Kitchener and Waterloo: Tours about local and distant rocks

Earth Science Museum is partnering with Kitchener-Waterloo Gem and Mineral Club to give tours about the local and distant rocks used in different buildings and structures around Waterloo and Kitchener.

Dinosaur Wednesdays

Everyone is welcome starting July 2nd through until August 27th at 1:00PM for a free dinosaur tour from the Earth Sciences Museum team!

This is an event open to the public and is for all ages and will be held in the EIT building.

Come see our dinosaur exhibits and our hand samples of dinosaur fossils for yourself!

University of Waterloo 2019 Gem and Mineral Show

Visit the University of Waterloo Earth Sciences Museum for our annual Gem and Mineral Show! 

Friday October 25th: 12 noon - 6 p.m.

Saturday October 26th: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Join us on the first and second floors of the EIT building for two days of gems, minerals, fossils and jewellery.
