A partnership event with the Kitchener-Waterloo Gem and Mineral Club with activities for kids including panning for gold, digging for fish fossils and a marvelous mining activity.

The event commemorates the KW Gem and Mineral Club's 50th Anniversary.

A free public lecture follows in OPT 347 by David Joyce on “Limestone Mineral Occurrences in Southwestern Ontario”.
