Celebrate Family Day at the Earth Sciences Museum!

Join us for a day of discovery, fun, and hands-on activities for all ages! Explore the wonders of our planet through interactive exhibits, fascinating fossils, and dazzling minerals.

Highlights include:

  •  MINECRAFT MINERAL SHOWCASE: Dig into the world of Minecraft and real-life geology!
    • Showcase times: 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM
    • Compare in-game rocks and minerals with real specimens, learn their properties & win mineral prizes or the GRAND PRIZE: a LEGO mineral showcase set.
    • RESERVE YOUR SEAT BY REGISTERING THROUGH EVENTBRITE 
  • Family-Friendly Activities: Rock and mineral identification, fossil digs, and craft stations.
  • Guided Tours: Listen to stories about our mine tunnel. Starts every 30 minutes.

Parking in Lot Q is recommended. The University of Waterloo LRT/Ion stop is also very close to the Earth Sciences Museum
