Whether you are a budding scientist, a family looking for a weekend adventure, or just curious about the natural world, this event is open to everyone. Come explore our unique interactive spaces, and get an up-close look at incredible rocks, minerals, and ancient fossils. Admission is free, and no prior registration is required—just drop in and start exploring!
Each open door day, our staff will bring out a few hidden gems (or fossils) from our back room collections for visitors to touch and explore. On September 26 we will focus on fossils.
The ION and bus stations are conveniently close to the EIT building and are the most convenient way to visit.
If you prefer to drive, visitor parking is available in Lot Q. The $10 charge is payable through the AMP mobile pay app. Lot Q is marked with a green hexagon on the map below, and EIT is marked with a pink star.
Accessible parking is limited but available close to the EIT building. If you require accessible parking, please visit the Sustainable Transportation - Accessible Parking site and follow their instructions.
