Gray
graduated
with
his
honours
Earth
Science
(Geology)
B.Sc.
degree
from
the
UofWaterloo
in
1987
and
has
continued
his
formal
and
informal
education,
including
teaching
the
past
five
years
at
Fleming
College
in
the
Well
Constructed
and
other
geology
and
hydrogeology
courses. Mr.
Gray
has
more
than
30
years
of
hydrogeological
and
environmental
consulting
experience
with
projects
ranging
from
small
scale
local
environmental
and
hydrogeological
assessments
to
large
scale
international
assignments.Mr.
Gray
has
also
contributed
greatly
to
the
groundwater
community
since
graduating
as
a
leader
of
groundwater
education
and
protection,
including
the
Waterloo
Wellington
Children’s
Groundwater
Festival,
the
Children’s
Water
Education
Council,
The
Rotary
Club
of
Kitchener,
International
Association
of
Hydrogeologists,

Ground

Career
background: Mr.
Gray
began
his
geology
career
working
for
the
Ontario
Geological
Survey,
Quaternary
Division,
mapping
in
the
Hemlo
and
Ft.
Francis,
Rainy
River
areas
in
the
mid-80’s.
Mr.
Gray
then
switched
to
the
consulting
field
as
a
field
geologist,
focusing
on
groundwater
related
projects
from
a
water
supply
or
contaminant
perspective.
In
1995
Mr.
Gray
co-founded
the
Kitchener
based
environmental
consulting
firm
Frontline
Environmental
Management
Inc.,
which
in
2007
merged
with
MTE
Consultants
Inc.
of
Kitchener,
On.
Peter
is
a
Vice
President
and
Senior
Hydrogeologist
for
MTE.
Peter
is
one
of
the
founding
directors
and
past
president
of
the
Children’s
Water
Education
Council
(CWEC),
a
registered,
non-profit
charitable
organization
that
in
1994
initiated
the
first
Children’s
Groundwater
Festival,
since
which
more
than
800,000
children
have
become
educated
about
a
wide
variety
of
water-based
issues
and
concepts.
