Growing up, my family liked to visit museums. I always enjoyed learning in an environment where I could see amazing things like mineral crystals and dinosaur bones up close. During a previous co-op term I worked at a gold mine in Northern Ontario and absolutely loved the experience. It really made me appreciate how complex geology is, and how useful rocks are in every day life. If it can’t be grown, it has to be mined! My passion for earth sciences also carries over to my home. My room is filled with my personal collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils. When I’m not working or studying I love to sing, rock climb, and take pictures.
Things that come from the ground are incredibly useful, beautiful, and fun! The Earth Sciences Museum is a great place where you can always learn something new and I am very excited to be working here.
I hope to see you around!
