Wednesday, November 20, 2019

The Ontario Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs) Association held its Soil and Water Information Day in Guelph on November 20. The 655+ CCAs in Ontario provide information and expertise on crop production, crop protection and natural resource management to farmers. The Association regularly offers workshops and professional training to its members. The Soil and Water Information Day brought together a number of academic experts and practitioners to present and discuss advances in research and practice on soil health and water quality management. Philippe Van Cappellen from the Ecohydrology Research Group gave a seminar on the LEAP (Legacies of Agricultural Pollutants) in which he emphasized the added value of interdisciplinary research, comparative analyses among different watersheds and international collaboration.
