Friday, December 6, 2019

The Ecohydrology Research Group hosted a symposium on December 6, 2019 celebrating the research impact of Philippe Van Cappellen, his colleagues, and his current and former students. The full-day schedule included research seminars and lightning talks from researchers from over 15 institutions around the world. Presentations highlighted the impactful research that Philippe and his fellow researchers have conducted from his time in graduate studies at Yale to founding the Ecohydrology Research Group at the University of Waterloo and continuing today. In addition to research, some fun stories and memorable photos were also shared by Philippe's colleagues. The evening keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Carl Steefel, Senior Scientist and Department Head at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and 2019 AGU Fellow. See the full program here.

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in this memorable event!
