Ecohydrology researchers hosted a workshop for University of Waterloo researchers and researchers from the Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB), Berlin, Germany, on Thursday February 21st.
The workshop was organized as a part of a Water Institute Seed Grant on "Seasonal Patterns of Chlorophyll and Temperature in Lakes: Detection and Attribution of Climate Change Signals", which was awarded to Homa Kheyrollah Pour, Earth and Environmental Sciences; Philippe Van Cappellen, Earth and Environmental Sciences; Roland Hall, Biology; and Andrea Scott, Systems Design Engineering. The purpose of the meeting was to lay the foundation for a joint project with IGB’s LakeLab facilities.
During the workshop, Dr. Georgiy Kirillin, gave a presentation as part of the Ecohydrology Seminar Series. The presentation was titled: "Seasonal Mixing Regime of Eurasian Lakes: How Resistant is it to Climate Vaiability and Water Use?"
