The Canadian Association of Research Libraries’ Portage Network has released 9 Exemplar data management plan (DMPs). Among exemplar DMPs is the Data Management Plan for the Ecohydrology Research Group, the first for the University of Waterloo that is publicly available. By releasing exemplar DMPs, Portage Network aims to provide guidance to researchers writing DMPs and highlight data management best practices in a wide range of disciplines and research methods. A shift towards free access and reuse of publicly funded research data is becoming increasingly important in Canada, and therefore, effective data management is critical to ongoing and new research programs. Read the Ecohydrology Research Group Data Management Plan. The Ecohydrology’s Data Management Plan was prepared in collaboration with Portage’s Network Maggie Neilson and University of Waterloo Library’s Kathy Szigeti.
More exemplars and other data management resources can be found on Portage Network’s website.
