Saturday, October 28, 2023

Members of the Ecohydrology Research Group volunteered to facilitate kids’ science activities at the University of Waterloo’s Science Open House on Saturday, October 28th. The activities that ERG members demonstrated included “Wetlands and Soil Erosion,” “Water in Your Breakfast,” “Microplastics in the Environment,” “Horrible Harmful Algal Blooms,” “Motion of the Oceans.” Over 4,000 people attended the Science Open House and Gem and Mineral show this year. Thanks to the Earth Sciences Museum and Science Outreach for organizing the event, and thanks to everyone who showed up and acted as attentive audiences for our activities!
