Ecohydrology Research Group student Linden Fairbairn successfully defended her MSc thesis on January 20. Her thesis is titled "Linking soil moisture content and carbon dioxide fluxes: From batch experiments to process-based modelling". Linden completed her MSc research under the supervision of Drs. Philippe Van Cappellen and Fereidoun Rezanezhad and her advisory committee included Drs. Chris Parsons, Merrin Macrae, and Thai Phan.
Linden's work was funded by a NSERC Strategic Partnerships Grant titled "Reactive interfaces in agroecosystems: quantifying coupled biogeochemical dynamics across scales using a comprehensive lab-field-modeling approach." The soil used in her research was collected from the rare Charitable Research Reserve.
Congratulations, Linden!
