Global hydrobelts and hydroregions: improved reporting scale for water-related issues?
Together with scientists from France and Finland, Ecohydrology group member Hans Dürr just published a paper on how we can improve global scale reporting of water issues. They find that hydro-belts, using natural river boundaries, are often more appropriate than conventional continental or political divisions for the global analysis of river basins and water resources.
