Fereidoun visited (June 20th to July 28th, 2016) the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Rostock University in Germany as part of a Mercator Fellowship awarded to him to collaborate with new Baltic TRANSCOAST Research Training Group funded by German Research Foundation (DFG) (2015-2020). Baltic TRANSCOAST group studies the hydrodynamic, (bio)geochemical and biological processes at the interface between land and sea. As a Mercator Fellow with Baltic TRANSCOAST, Fereidoun is collaborating with PhD students in this program to help on understanding the physical and biogeochemical processes at the land-sea interface, both in the marine and the terrestrial part of the coast. During this visit, Fereidoun gave an invited seminar on “soil biogeochemical responses to dynamic hydrological and climatic drive” and was also interviewed by press release at University of Rostock.
