Second Joint ISEB-ISSM Symposium is held in Banff, Alberta

The Second Joint Symposium of the International Societies for Environmental Biogeochemistry and Subsurface Microbiology was held in Banff on 22-28 October. Philippe and Jovana Radosavljevic both gave talks in the session on Phosphorus and Microbial Systems. Philippe’ talk was entitled “Phosphorus and Eutrophication: Recent Findings and Emerging Challenges”, and Jovana’s talk was “Beyond Phosphorus: Salinization as a driver of Eutrophication Symptoms”. In the poster session, Erin Griffiths presented her work on “Enzymatic Degradation of PET Plastic. Philippe also participated in ISEB’s meetings of the Executive Board and the International Advisory Committee.
