Masters Student
I am a masters student working on the NSERC funded project "Microplastics: Fingerprinting at the watershed scale: from sources to receivers”. My research investigates the enzymatic degradation of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic under various environmental conditions. Concurrently, I am also looking at microplastic degradation of PET and PA plastic in stormwater ponds.
This research aims to provide a better understanding of how plastics degrade, such that future methods can be established to reduce plastic pollution.
