(1930) - Against Bourgeois-Liberal Distortion of Class on the Negro Question in the United States - Harry Haywood
Haywood talks about the deeply integrated suppressive system in which the United States is engulfed in. He mentions the white liberals and their ideological perceptions of Black Americans fighting for their emancipation as a matter of race only and a complete disregard of the systemically embedded hurdles within a capitalistic society which they face. Additionally, he talks about the eventual assimilation of minorities and immigrants throughout generations. Throughout generations, the American culture and language have become deeply ingrained, resulting in the eventual eradication of the minority's uniqueness in all fields and aspects of life.
The purely physical concept "race" is identified by these theoreticians with intellectual, moral, and cultural traits. White skin becomes the symbol of civilization, high culture and intellectual prowess, while black skin symbolizes barbarity, low morals, dependency, etc.
