From a quick overview, it may seem that Faiz's poetry is nothing out of the ordinary, but upon further understanding, it can be seen rather evidently that his poetry has deep social and political ties. He was a poet with social consciousness, as can be demonstrated through his rather zealous edge regarding revolutions. Throughout his poetry, he used everyday happenings in referencing his poetry, alongside metaphors to paint different pictures. As such, Gopi C. Narang, aims to do justice to Faiz's work through reading it with its due justice.
