Community Corner: Gathering during uncertain times
Creating Space for Connection and Support on Campus
"Uncertain times" manifest in different ways in our daily experiences on-campus. This makes it all the more important to create safe space where we can come together, share our challenges, and find ways to collectively support one another in navigating our unique challenges.
Join us for an empowering event designed to foster connection and support for staff and faculty who identify as Black, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, or part of other marginalized groups on campus in non-leadership roles. Light snacks will be provided.
This event will feature discussion groups where participants can:
✔ Connect with peers as we navigate these uncertain times.
✔ Share experiences and challenges in a safe and supportive space.
✔ Learn from one another on how we can support each other moving forward.
Who should attend?
This space is for individuals in non-leadership roles from marginalized communities who are looking to connect, share experiences, and support one another during these uncertain times.
There is no desire to monitor anyone’s role or identities that create barriers to entry; we invite anyone who feels this space aligns with their experiences to join us. While we deeply appreciate the support of allies, this space is dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of those navigating their on-campus experiences who are not in supervisory positions.
