Who: Faculty and Staff
What: The National Inquiry’s Final Report reveals that persistent and deliberate human and Indigenous rights violations and abuses are the root cause behind Canada’s staggering rates of violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA people. This reading group will explore selected chapters of the Final Report and provide a guided discussion of the Inquiry’s findings.
We will also situate the findings of the report within a post-secondary context, aiming to explore the intersections between trauma, learning, and educational outcomes.
We thank the UWaterloo Library for their support of this initiative!
Prerequisite: Either Kairos Blanket Exercise (INI 101) or You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know Part 1 (INI 102) , or other prior knowledge and/or lived experience in the subject area.
